This is the life

After finally finishing my finals, I am living the life. I don't even care that all of Arizona's rainy days are occurring while I'm here. Because I spend most of my days laying on the couch inside, enjoying the wonders of watching 8 or more straight hours of television. My brain will slowly melt into a sludge in preparation for my last semester of college (wow, that's actually scary to write). Someday soon I will start reading some young adult novels, practicing an instrument or perhaps even *gasp* working on the dreaded thesis. But for now, here's what I've been up to:
1) Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations- I've been addicted to the Travel Channel ever since I got back from abroad, and this is my favorite. Food, the weird little places people don't usually go to, and a sarcastic, beer-drinking host. Today's marathon, with 3 episodes of Southeast Asia, made my mouth water for street food- plastic chairs and table outside is the sign of a great meal. There was also his roadtrip through the American Southwest with a fun stop at Arizona's own Alice Cooperstown.
2) Jon and Kate Plus 8- Amazingly addictive. I've always had a perhaps strange fascination with large families (ask anyone who played MASH with me as a child), and these kids are so adorable/crazy. I dunno, watching them all pack for a trip is just amazingly entertaining. I haven't seen that 17 Kid family show yet, gotta check it out...
3) Veronica Mars Season 3- FINALLY going to finish out the series. I thought this season might not live up but it's totally addicting- once again, I love sarcasm and paired with some good mysteries. and Logan...the bad boy with a heart of gold. uh oh...perhaps I've revealed a weakness

But hey, I have actually showered and dressed myself and gone out. Now that everyone is 21 we can actually have places to go in the evening. And the ultimate celebration of our coming of age is sneaking up quickly on me- Las Vegas for New Year's. I plan on only wearing metallics, glitter, sequins, etc.

But for now, Christmas- um, I just realized I have no presents for anyone. Do you think it'll be crowded at local places of business tomorrow as I scrounge desperately for gifts?
