In The Bleak Midwinter

So here I am, back at school. After whining about the freezing weather, made tougher by the unquestionably perfect weather in Arizona, and whining about how I didn't want to be back, things are looking up. First of all, it snowed quite a bit on Monday which is pretty, I still do love the snow.

After having no idea what classes I would take, I now have my schedule: I am taking Nietzche, Kant, Plato with my thesis advisor, and I got into Writing for Children! It is a creative writing course team taught by six children's authors. I am ridiculously excited, I get to hang out in the children's section of the library with good reason and talk about my favorite children's books! And then write my own fairy tales and stories. Although when I have my syllabuses next to each other, I realize my classes are sort of the opposite of each other- the most difficult, dense political philosophers and then picture books. Both things I love though, so pretty awesome. Then I have my thesis (ugh), and my music classes. I got a decent work schedule, so overall so far so good. Nothing in the morning at all.

Tomorrow Amy Sedaris is going to be at Haverford! I love her, she is so weird. Should be a fun weekend.
