Real World?

One final, amazing Hell Week. Well, lots has been happening I suppose. I have been desperately applying for jobs and such. Mostly teaching, actually. It's the only skill I can really say I have, and also taking some time to teach is appealing as opposed to working a real boring desk job. So far, I have gotten rejected from a teaching position in Turkey and DC Teaching Fellows, but I have gotten an interview for an associate teacher at Wilmington Friends School (that's a Quaker school in Delaware) and for Phoenix Teaching Fellows. I applied to a few other things that I'm still waiting to hear back from, and I'm still applying for stuff abroad too.

So my Wilmington interview is tomorrow here at school. The Phoenix Teaching Fellows interview has to be done in person, so after some thought I am flying out to Phoenix on Friday, March 27th and coming back Sunday (it helped that I have a free flight from all the freaking flying I do). Since it is sort of a short, intense visit, I'm not if I'll be able to hang out with friends but hopefully I can work something out. I never really wanted to move back to Phoenix but this program would certainly be a great way to at least try to improve one of the worst school systems in the country (AZ is often rated 49th). Plus, I could live at home during the summer training which all of these programs have.

I'm still pretty afraid I will get rejected by all these jobs and be in debt forever. Well, we'll see I guess. I could still end up anywhere really.
