I wrote another story for class. It is based on Jen Bryant's Ringside 1925: Views from the Scopes Trial, which is an amazing book by the way. Not just a children's book. So this is a historical fiction piece in verse with several narrators: Inauguration 2009. I need a better title but I couldn't think of a non stupid/cheesy one.
I realized recently that Bryn Mawr holidays have replaced real holidays for me. Hell Week and May Day are magical, joyous. They replace magic that Christmas once had. But when I go into the real world I can't celebrate these fake holidays. Well I could but people would think I was insane, and it's not the same.
