Okay so the boat wasn't going fast. Actually it wasn't moving at all. It was a stationary pirate ship, basically. It was pretty and nice and all. There was a buffet and a bar, but it just didn't seem set up for a group our size, so it took for-freakin-ever to get our food and drinks, and not much seating. There was a DJ, who clearly enjoyed our group of female college grads.
The funny part about booze cruise is that professors and deans get invited, and once the dancing begun-well, they joined in. And it was amazing. Overall, fun times. I love dancing with Bryn Mawr girls too, no shame, it's excellent.
Then the next part of the evening begun, which was to ride our (of course, yellow school buses) to Dave and Buster's. Now, I am a camp counselor 4 lyfe so obviously I encouraged singing on the buses- which was AWESOME. We sang Disney and Backstreet. Then we got our game cards and began to play arcade games. Now, being Mawrtyrs we all enjoyed Trivial Pursuit a lot- I won one round playing against all Bryn Mawr girls which is quite a feat. My friend Ari, um, worked the system by humping some machines and got a thousand tickets.
But soon you realize that Dave and Buster's is not a three-hour activity- it's 2 tops. After we all ran out of points we sat around, tired and ready to head home. We left DandB at midnight.
The bus ride turned out to be rather horrible as it took an HOUR AND A HALF to get home, due to some sort of weird construction/who is out on the road at midnight on a Monday?
All and all, my first Senior Week event was pretty good. Tomorrow is our Tassel Tea at Wyndham, a classy event with champagne. Then Wed is bowling, and Thurs is our pub crawl.
I also need to pack during this week...
